Juanjo Lopez

Originario de Guadalajara Jalisco México, posee una formación docente de más de veinte años en Educación Física. Desde su llegada a Chicago en el 2008 forma parte del movimiento de mexicanos que hacen arte, formo parte de la Rondalla Presagio como poeta y primera voz. Así como también continúa haciendo radio y es invitado a formar parte de varios programas, entre ellos Chicago Latino Pride, Mitos y Realidades, Historias Bajo La Luna, de Isabel Fdez. Dónde fue director y el narrador oficial por tres años, y en el programa de Al Ritmo Del Arte. Además fue parte del Proyecto “Que Gente Mi Gente que se transmitía en 700 estaciones de radio, también estuvo integrado al performance poético de “Prohibido Leer”, de la revista Contratiempo. Actualmente sigue participando en varios proyectos de teatro y de cine.
Juanjo es un amante de la Filosofía, la antropología, la literatura, la poesía, y disfruta de la lectura y de la escritura.

Originally from Guadalajara Jalisco México, he has more than twenty years of experience teaching Physical Education class.

Juanjo's work in the arts in this country unites him with the growing movement of Mexican artists abroad. In 2008, Juanjo arrived in Chicago and joined the string group Rondalla Presagio as a poet and the first vocalist. He began to participate in Chicago radio station. He was part of Radiovive, an online radio station that transmits Chicago Latino Pride and Mitos y Realidades. For the three years he has been the director and principal narrator in the radio soap opera Historias Bajo La Luna by Isabel Fdez, and the radio talk show “Al Ritmo Del Arte”, Juanjo was part of the project “Que Gente Mi Gente”, radio soap opera too that broadcast on more than 700 radio stations. Juanjo also performs in Prohibido Leer, a monthly poetry slam that is part of the Contratiempo literary magazine and continues to be part of film and theater projects.

Juanjo loved philosophy, anthropology, literature, poetry and enjoys reading and writing.
